John Allen is a Certified Practicing Accountant with 25 years’ experience in senior and executive government roles.
At age 31 John reached his accounting career goal acting as Chief Finance Officer for Queensland Department of Premier and Cabinet, it was at this point he realised his passion was for people rather than just numbers.
John then moved into specialising in learning and development in the Department of Health with the aim of increasing the financial capability of cost centre managers, business managers and clinicians and allied health staff. While doing this role John also worked as a senior accountant delivering annual financial statements for 12 years.
This extensive background in implementing government financial reforms and managing the financial operations for government departments sets John apart from other executive coaches and leadership trainers as he can deliver practical financial and governance training from real world experience.
As Director in Training Capability since 2012, John is contracted by numerous private and public hospital and health services to deliver finance and leadership training to improve the financial capability of clinicians and cost centre managers. The enhancement in the financial capability of cost centre managers has, in turn, led to positive financial turnarounds for hospital and health services.
As an experienced facilitator and management consultant, John has drawn on his extensive practical expertise to customise training programs including;

Elizabeth Wilmot BA, Grad Dip Ed, GCM, GAID
Elizabeth has been involved in education for over 30 years. Her experience includes primary and secondary teaching, adult literacy, tutoring, executive professional development, coaching and developing high performing teams.
In addition to teaching, Elizabeth has experience across a broad range of industries, including defence, education, professional membership, retail and business development.
In recent years Elizabeth has focused on developing health services individuals and teams to achieve their potential and fostering a positive culture by exploring the benefits of diversity in thinking preferences and improving business skills.
A key achievement for Elizabeth was the implementation and facilitation of a Chief Finance Officer Network bringing together 15 individuals from around Queensland to form a collective problem solving unit – taking advantage of the wide range of skills, knowledge and experience of individuals to benefit the group and the organization.
Elizabeth has a passion for linking training to achieving business outcomes. Previous roles as a trainer and business development manager highlighted that too often staff are not engaged in the business and have significant misconceptions about the challenges facing business – and business owners. Communication to employees, particularly around change, is regularly not clearly articulated to those responsible for implementing the change – with resulting frustrations for both management and staff.
Armed with the firm conviction that workplace training should always be directly linked to the organisation’s objectives, Elizabeth strives to develop and present quality, relevant and entertaining training for employees with a clear focus on increasing the capability and effectiveness of the organisation.
